Facebook is rolling out “Your Algorithm,” an AI-powered tool that lets users describe what they want in Feed and Reels. Meta announced the controls on October 13. Users can write their preferences and give more detailed feedback on individual posts.

The feature follows Instagram’s version, which expanded to Feed and Explore in June after its Reels debut in December 2025, TechCrunch reports.

What users can change

Open a post’s three-dot menu to find Your Algorithm. It gives users a place to add and manage topics they want Facebook to recommend.

The same menu has “Interested” and “Not interested” options. After either choice, Facebook may ask a follow-up question. Users can explain what they liked or disliked in their own words, including what they want more or less of.

Meta says large language models interpret those requests alongside existing engagement signals. The company says recommendations adapt within the same session. Its announcement gives no country or language rollout schedule.
